Swan Island Dahlia Festival

Every year the Swan Island Dahlia Festival is held at the large dahlia fields in Canby, Oregon. I have no idea why it isn't on the island, The festival is a two-weekend event, but since I wanted to take pictures, I chose to go one a week day, with fewer people. It was a sunny early morning with a clear blue sky. I went with a photographer friend who had been there before, which always helps. Below are a few of my many shots The dahlias varied in color, style and height, with several rows of each in the field.
