Our Green Valley, Arizona House: 2002 - 2022

We also had our yard redone. That involved taking out the old small rock and replacing it with new. There were also some new cactus planted and some other clumps split up and spread around. When they were done, Paul and I got some more river rock and placed that.

In 2002 the Pitzer family acquired a lovely place in Green Valley, and for 20 years Paul and Grace, Mary and Charlie enjoyed going there, sometimes in the Spring and Fall and sometimes in the Winter. Paul enjoyed his time in the swimming pool, which was about two blocks away. He often went twice a day. Grace enjoyed her time with the Camera Club where she joined several Special Interest Groups and taught a number of classes. By the winter of 2022, the decision was made to sell the place. It went fast. Below are the Realtor's photographer's photos used in the listing.
For many years we used Hugh as our handyman. There wasn't anything he couldn't do. He was the contractor and did much of the work when we had all of the floors tiled and the whole place painted. He did the same when we redid the master bath shower. We were very excited when he and his friend Kathryn came by to visit, and we accepted her offer to buy our place, furnished. This made it easier to leave knowing the place is in good hands. |
