Floating the Nera River

One day, while staying in the Trevi area, we went to the medieval hill town of Scheggino. The Nera River flows through the town and it was arranged for our group to have a rafting experience. The day had been cloudy with some drizzle, but it cleared in time for this adventure. The outfitter had full wetsuits, drysuit tops, life vests, boots and helmets for everyone. Once everyone was fully decked out they were driven upstream five miles for the float down-river, which took over half an hour. Several even had fun swimming. Since Paul and I had bad colds we did not go, but I took on the project to document the event with photos and videos.
