Grace in the Surf in Antarctica

In Antarctica travelers are taken ashore in Zodiacs, which are rubber boats. The appropriate attire, besides a very warm parka and a life vest, is knee high rubber boots and rain pants. Being the klutz that I am, on this landing I got my feet twisted and fell into the water as I was getting out of the Zodiac. I was carrying my backpack camera bag.  I rolled so as to keep it out of the water. You can faintly hear me saying “Save the Camera.” You have to watch closely because I am actually falling behind a walking penguin and on the far side of the Zodiac which is landing.

Thanks to Nancy, the ship’s videographer, who happened to be shooting this landing. She gave me this clip.
