Luang Prabang and Vientiane, Laos
We flew from Bangkok to Luang Prabang, Laos, which is on the Mekong and Khan rivers. The picturesque city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We spent three days in the very quaint town and our mode of transportation was small Tuk Tuks. We cruised the Mekong, visiting villages along the way. We also visited the village being supported by Grand Circle Foundation and enjoyed the school and visiting with the people.
From Luang Prabang we flew to Vientiane, the capital of Laos, where we spent two days. There we visited the Royal Palace Museum, the Great Sacred Stupa and the Victory Gate Monument as well as the House of the Emerald Buddha.
