Lions: Courting and Playing

Here are two videos showing the behaviors of lions and cubs.
First: It was fascinating to spend time just sitting (in a vehicle) and watching a pride of lions. There were many kinds of interactions, and it was clear that this male lion is happy with his mate. We were staying at Little Governor’s Camp in southern Kenya.
Second: In Tanzania we stayed at Lake Ndutu. There was a large pride of lions consisting of one large male, maybe four females, and at least eight cubs of different ages. They had killed a wildebeest early that morning and were all hanging around until the adults (stronger than the cubs) tore it open. Here the cubs are playing with one of the female adults and with each other. They are truly a cat and kittens.
