Borneo and Orangutans

Our visit to Camp Leakey and the Tanjung Puting National Park in Borneo was very special and moving. After traveling for a week aboard the National Geographic Orion, Lindblad’s newest ship, and having a chance to hear lectures by Dr. Birute Galdikas, we finally had a chance to observe to orangutans in their natural setting. There were several feeding stations, then we were able to watch the very touching interaction with Dr Galdikas and a female orangutan that she has known from a youngster. These are truly amazing animals.
