From Vientiane we flew to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) were we spent two days in this faster paced big city. We visited some historical sites, took in a water puppet show and had a cyclo-rickshaw ride. We also visited the Cu Chi tunnels, built by the Viet Cong. Then there was a full day’s drive to Chau Doc, a border town with Cambodia, on the Mekong River. That day-long ride included two ferry crossings.
