Wildebeest

Two videos
In February the hundreds of thousands, if not millions of Wildebeest are in the Southern Serengeti in Tanzania. Early one morning we observed their movement out of a forested area and onto the plains. They always move in large herds and much of the time they are running until they reach their grazing area. There had been a lot of rain recently so this part of the Serengeti was very lush and green.

We were staying at Lake Ndutu in Tanzania, in the southern Serengeti, where the wildebeest go to spend the winter grazing on the long grass. This particular morning they were coming out of the small-forested area and heading out to the plains to graze. There were thousands that came running by us, kicking up a lot of dust.
